In the last few days, Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva have traded pleasantries over the internet – well as pleasant as MMA can get. Silva has stated that he wants to fight Bisping in the UK.
During an interview with ESPN.com, Silva had this to say about Michael Bisping;
“Michael Bisping is very impressive. He’s been in the UFC for a long time now and beaten some very good fighters. It would be an honour to fight him, perhaps in England.”
Bisping replied to Silvas comments via his twitter stating that ” It’s nice to hear nice things from the best in the world,and hopefully soon I will earn the honour of fighting him.”
One could argue that neither fighter should be looking past their upcoming opponents, with Silva facing former UFC Heavyweight and Light-heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort at UFC 126. Also, the winner of that bout is set to take on Yushin Okami who won a shot at facing the winner of Silva- Belfort.
Next up for Bisping, is dangerous knockout artist Jorge Rivera. Rivera was set to face Alessio Sakara at UFC 122, BUT Sakara pulled out, the night of the fight. The last time we saw Bisping was his unanimous decision win against Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120.
