5 Amazing Comeback from Behind Fights

Bob Sapp Vs Minotauro Nogueria

The living legend that is Minotauro Nogueria has made a living of getting a beating and coming back from it. This fight definitely shows why Nogueria is known for having more heart than any other fighter before him.

Scott Smith Vs Pete Sell

When we talk about fighters that comeback from the brink of losing,  I can’t think of anyone more than Scott Smith. His fight against Pete Sell was going pretty well. Both fighters were landing some hard shots. Until Sell landed a fantastic liver shot that made Smith keel over in pain. Safe to say that most people that thought Sell had won the fight after that shot and he just needed to land a finishing blow. Apparently, Scott Smith didn’t read the script and obviously thought he was Brad Pitt in “Snatch”

Scott Smith Vs Cung Le

Once upon a time, Cung Le was the Strikeforce Middleweight Champion. He was decorated wrestler, but he was better known for awkward, powerful strike that would knock other fighters off balance. So when Cung Le fought against Scott Smith in his return match after a long time out of MMA, everyone thought that it was going a quick win for Le and a nice tune-up fight. I’m not sure if Mr Le had ever heard of Mr Smith, but he’s sort of a hard guy to fully count out…

Andrei Arlovski Vs Fedor Emilianenko

Probably,  the best heavyweight in the world for a time Fedor Emilianenko. He was unbeaten and never looked like he could ever be beaten – by anyone! So I’ll give all the credit in the world to Arlovski for really taking the fight to Emilianenko. He actually had Fedor on the ropes until he made a silly mistake…

Melvin Manhoef Vs Robbie Lawler

This fight really optimizes what this whole article is about. A man being beaten to the point where they look to be beaten and showing enough heart, determination and simply having enough luck to defy the odds ad win a fight in where everyone thought they were down for the count. Robbie Lawler was litreally getting his leg hacked off by Manhoef, until he did a Scott Smith and showed him that everyone has a punchers chance.
