UF 122 Predictions

Krzysztof Soszynski vs.  Goran Reljic

Many are touting Goran Reljic to be the real deal in the MMA world. However, Soszynski is no joke and has a strong chin and a devastating Kimura. Neither fighter can really be counted out during this fight and I definitely do not think it’s going to be a decision. I think that Soszynski is going to come away with a win via TKO.

Soszynski via TKO, 2nd Round

Amir Sadollah Vs Pete Sobotta

Sadollah hasn’t had the best form in the UFC or eve his MMA career. The Ultimate Fighter winner has been inconsistent and has suffered some bad losses. He now faces another welterweight prospect in Pete Sobotta who has a decent record, but is coming off of two losses. I feel that Sobotta has more of a chance against Sadollah as he has more experience and is a much more well-rounded fighter. I’m going for a first round submission to Sobotta.

Sobotta via submission (Armbar) 1st round

Dennis Siver Vs Andre Winner

This is definitely going to be a striking war. AfterWinner’s last fight where he was hugged to death by Nik Lentz, I think it was obvious that the UFC needed to give him a fighter who had the same mindset as Andre. They’ve delievered with Dennis Siver, who certainly isn’t afraid to stay in the pocket and trade blows. I don’t see this one lasting too long and I presume that someone is going to win Knockout of the Night with this one. I’m giving the fight to Andre Winner.

Andre Winner via Knockout, Round 1

Jorge Rivera Vs Alessio Sakara

I look at this fight and I see two fighters at a crossroads. Whoever wins, will be excel out of the midcard fighter role, whilst the other might be kept as a gatekeeper. I honestly think it’s going to go down to who has the stronger chin and if that’s the case, then Alessio Sakara might just be the loser in this contest and he’s part of a lot of fighters highlight reel list.

Jorge Rivera Via TKO, 2nd round

Nate Marquardt Vs Yushin Okami

This is an MMA purists dream in my eyes. A fight between two well rounded fighters who have specific strengths in various areas. It’s essentially going to be a chess match between these two. Whoever makes the first mistake, may pay the price as both fighters will latch onto that mistake without a moments hesitation. I feel that Marquardt is finally ready to step up though and this maybe the fight where he proves to the world that he truly is “The Great”.
