With UFC 120 around the corner, we thought we’d have our first UK based MMA fighter of the week, with Michael “The Count” Bisping. Bisping hasn’t become a champion yet, but he is the one of the leaders of the British Invasion when it comes to MMA. With his win on TUF a few years ago, he’s catapulted MMA into the minds of many British people. His record is incredibly impressive, as he’s only lost to three people in his career – Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva and Rashad Evans, all ex-champions. His technical boxing, great stamina and underrated ground game has made him one of the top middleweight fighters to have not won the title yet.
At UFC 120, he’ll be facing Yoshihiro Akiyama. The Japanese fighter has shown how tough he is in both of his UFC outings. Although he lost to Chris Leben in a fantastic fight, no-one can say that Sexyama is a weak fighter and he’ll surely give Bisping a good fight come Saturday.
